A blessed and joyful Easter Sunday started with 6.30 am service with thousands of members gathered at St. Thomas’s Cathedral to celebrate the resurrection of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
The Sunday Schools’ children brought in trays of Easter Eggs for blessing before the service began. The Dean, the Very Rev’d Michael Buma Galami was the celebrant and preacher at the service.
After the service, the Rev’d Canon Gregory Chambers distributed the Easter eggs to the children who came to the Sunday Schools.
There were five (5) services on this day, starting with the 6.30am service, followed by the 8.15am service, with The Rev’d Canon Gregory Chambers as celebrant and preached by the Very Rev’d Michael Buma and the Iban Service at the Parish Hall with The Rev’d Doyle Owen LaCasse as the celebrant and preacher. The Chinese Service started at 10.30am and The Rev’d Kho Thong Meng was the celebrant as well as the preacher. The Evening Service started at 5.30pm and the celebrant was The Rev’d Doyle Owen LaCasse and the preacher was The Very Rev’d Michael Buma Galami.
