The colours of the logo are adapted from the colours of the Diocese of Kuching to depict it as an integral component of the Anglican Church in this region. It is made up of four main elements separated by a set of four set squares. The symbolism is as follow:-

  1. The four set squares reflect the symbol of the patron saint of the kindergarten St. Thomas who was a carpenter.
  2. The four elements indicate the four emphasis of the school curriculum as follows:-
  3. The paper cut-out of children holding hands depict the social aspects to teach the children to care and share with one another.
  4. The dove holding an olive twig depicts the spiritual aspect of instilling the children to have and keep peace within and among them.
  5. The book and pencil depict the mental aspect of developing the academic abilities of the children.
  6. The silhouette of the children playing with a ball depicts the physical aspects of developing the physical ability and health of the children.


To propel St. Thomas Cathedral Kindergarten as an ideal choice of educational institution while instilling core values as holistically competent, intelligent, highly educated, knowledgeable and of good character with a team of highly committed teachers with good moral standings, pupils of good quality traits that excels academically, of good character and high moral behavior so as to empowers them to be useful and honorable members of our society.

Welcome! This is the official website for St Thomas’s Cathedral Kindergarten. St. Thomas’s Cathedral Kindergarten is dedicated to providing quality care and education for all children. It adopts a developmentally appropriate programme so that each child may learn and grow cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

In our school programme, we nurture and develop in our children a love for reading. Daily activities include pre-reading and pre-writing exercises at the nursery levels, progressing to reading, writing and number at lower group and upper group. Other learning experiences are incorporated into the lessons in indoor and outdoor play, art and craft and music and movement and moral or religious knowledge. We also provide Chinese class which include oral simple conversation, writing and singing.
